First results from Toppo di Castelgrande Telescope
Abstract
After a brief introduction about the capabilities of the Toppo di Castelgrande telescope, we present some preliminary results after the first year of activity of the telescope. In particular, we show the outcomes from the study of variable stars in different environments: RR Lyrae and other types of variables in the Ursa Major I (UMaI) and Segue 2 Ultra Faint Dwarf (UFD) galaxies; Pre-Main-Sequence pulsators in the very young, metal-poor, distant open cluster Dolidze 25. The potentiality of TT1 for the search of extrasolar planets around evolved pulsating stars (EXOTIME project) are also outlined.
