Traveling to Naples

Important Note: On the 26th and 27th of September, a meeting of the NATO Defense Ministers will take place in Naples. Due to recent events, security is expected to be very tight in and around Naples during this period. Please be sure to plan extra time in your travel plans to allow for possible delays related to these additional measures.

By Airplane

The nearest airport and major train station to the meeting venue is in Naples, approximately 25 kilometers away. The Naples Capodichino Airport (NAP) has many flights each day to and from cities throughout Europe. While it is also possible to fly into the Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in Rome, please note that this entails a further three hours of train rides to reach the Naples train station.

By Train

The italian Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) has a multitude of trains to and from Naples each day. On the fastest trains, the Eurostar, it is approximately 7 hours from Milan to Naples, two hours from Rome. For travel within italy, you can consult the train timetable below.

By Bus

There are also bus lines running from many eastern european countries directly to Rome or Naples. For more information, please consult the following web site.
