  • How to reach Naples
    Flight: Capodichino airport in Naples, is 7 km north-east of the city center.It is southern Italy's main airport and links Naples with most Italian and several major cities. Several international and national airlines serve the city of Naples.
    Train: There are three main train stations in Naples. Napoli Centrale is the main one, facing Piazza Garibaldi; Napoli Mergellina is across town and Campi Flegrei is on the west side of the town. They are all connected by a direct ten-minute subway ride of the Servizio Metropolitano (Metro), with a departure about every ten minutes. Take a look to the Italian State Railways company (Ferrovie dello Stato).
  • Getting to Sorrento Coast
    Bus and taxi from Capodichino Airport to Sorrento
    Take advantage of the wonderful public transportation: the handy Circumvesuviana lacing together Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento and the regular bus service from Sorrento into the Amalfi region (where parking and car access are severely limited.
    Train: From Stazione Napoli Centrale-Piazza Garibaldi, you can take the 65-minute local train called the Circumvesuviana (which goes around Vesuvio) to Sorrento.
    Bus: There are buses that go directly from downtown Naples to Sorrento. The company Curreri runs also bus from the airport (tel 081.8015420/8016376) to Sorrento. Local blue buses SITA reach any village on the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts.
    Ferries and hydrofoils: From the port of Naples (Molo Beverello) ferries & hydrofoils leave to Sorrento & the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida. The trip Molo Beverello-Sorrento takes about 30 minutes.
    Car: If you come by car from Naples or Rome, detailed directions can be found here. The short version of the directions: take Autostrada A3 to Salerno-Reggio Calabria, get off at the exit "Castellammare di Stabia" (at km 22) and always follow the indicatons for Sorrento-Penisola Sorrentina along the SS 145. The trip takes approximately 65 minutes. 
  • How to reach 'O Sole mio Hotel (S.Agata)
    SITA (blue or green bus) "Sorrento-Priora-S.Agata-Nerano-Cantone"
    The bus stops in S.Agata's place. To reach the Hotel (at "deserto") a shuttle service will be organized, with a timetable to be defined.
