The research of high redshift galaxies with JWST in the field SMACS0723

This talk focuses on the research of galaxies at a very high redshift selected using the dropout method, in the galaxies field observations SMACS J0723-7327, which is the first deep field realized by the JWST (called “First Deep Field”), made using the NIRCam tool. The analysis, based on the research of sources in tape F444W but missing in the F200W filter, is firstly focused on a photometric multitapes study to the search of “possible candidates” with high z. After an accurate cleaning phase, we obtained a sample of about ten candidates with z between 4 and 7 followed by a study of SED-FITTING with a view to obtaining the estimate of the main physical properties of the selected method. The study can and actually needs to be repeated also in the other deep fields of JWST in order to get an overall view of the universe conditions in its first stages as accurate and representative as possible.
