Abstract:

In this seminar, I will discuss the physical properties of the recurrent nova, and potential type-Ia supernova progenitor, T Pyx as measured by MUSE. The spatially-resolved spectral information provided by MUSE is valuable for understanding the composition and dynamics of the remnant. I will indeed focus in particular on the geometrical properties of the 3D ring remnant, as well as on the measurement of the distance to the remnant using the nebular parallax method.
